We understand each patient's story is as unique as their fingerprint.
Patients with similar injuries may respond to care differently due to differences in activity levels, specialized sports training, work, or home environments as well as patient compliance.

We are proud to offer a wide-range of natural therapy options to create tailored treatment plans based on your needs.

After a consultation, history, and thorough exam, your doctor will create a tailored treatment plan specifically for you using a combination of the following tools.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Who can benefit from this therapy?

Chiropractic adjustments are an important part in rehabilitative care for most individuals experiencing pain, joint stiffness/tightness, or loss of range of motion of the spine, TMJ (jaw) or extremities.

What is it?

Our doctors use a variety of safe and effective techniques that are customized for your needs. Research has shown that these adjustments are the most effective tool in addressing restricted joints. When joints do not move well, they interfere with overall movement quality of the body and can lead to pain and/or tissue damage.

How does it work?

Chiropractic adjustments safely and effectively restore motion to restricted joints and normalize the movement body as a whole. Adjusting involves placing the body into a safe position to encourage the desired movement and applying a quick, specific push or pull.

These adjustments are very effective at alleviating pain and improving athletic performance.

Soft Tissue Treatment

Who can benefit from this therapy?

Patients with headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly with a combination of the soft tissue techniques employed by our providers.

What is it?

Soft tissue therapies are designed to rid injured areas of scar tissue. We usually think of scar tissue as only being seen after an injury to the skin; however, our body uses scar tissue extensively in the way that tar patch repairs are added to fix small cracks in the road. When muscles or other tissues are over-stressed or injured, our bodies use scar tissue as a patch repair.

This is a natural part of the healing process; however, if the cause of the injury is not alleviated properly, the muscle will accumulate too much scar tissue and become a problem. This is similar to when a road has been overly patched and becomes unsmooth.

How does it work?

We have a few different soft tissue therapies: Myofascial Release and Pin/Stretch Techniques do not simply decreasing muscle tension as traditional massage does. Instead, the intent is to “resurface the road.” These techniques work out the scar tissue and helps the muscle heal normally with long-lasting results. Graston Technique is similar to Myofascial Release and Pin/Stretch Techniques, but with the use of a stainless steel tool to work out the scar tissue to promote healthy healing of the muscle.

Sometimes we even treat soft tissue / fascial disorders through the use of Graston instruments by treating the kinetic chain while using various forms of rehabilitation exercises at the same time. This may include a combination of the above soft tissue therapies while the patient is performing movement patterns or other rehabilitative movements. It is important to state that pain, numbness, or other symptoms may not resolve if the scar tissue is not broken up properly.

Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation Exercises

Who can benefit from this therapy?

Almost all muscle, joint and nerve injuries heal better and patients are able to return back to their normal activities faster if specific rehabilitation exercises are added to chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue treatment or acupuncture therapies.

What is it?

There are several different types of rehabilitative exercises used at our office including McKenzie Technique, Core Stabilization, Neurodynamic Techniques and active mobility drills. We focus on easy-to-implement activities using body weight, bands and free weights.

Many times our doctors are able to coach you through the movements in an one-on-one format and include instructional online videos as part of your care for maximum results.

How does it work?

The most important part of your treatment will be the things you can do for yourself. Specific stretches or strengthening movements can help reinforce the manual treatments provided in our office and help you raise your threshold so you can do more without symptoms and perform better.

Acupuncture

Who can benefit from this therapy?

Patients with chronic muscle/joint pain, headaches, migraines, dizziness/vertigo, TMJ dysfunction, anxiety, PMS, infertility (male/female), heavy or irregular periods, digestive disorders and sinus/allergy problems.

What is it?

Solid filament needles are inserted at specific points on your body to balance the flow of energy in the meridians or channels used by Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners for over 2000 years.

How does it work?

The effects of acupuncture on the brain and body and how best to measure them are only beginning to be understood. We do know that acupuncture is very safe and has been effective for a variety of conditions, especially when combined with lifestyle changes, nutritional advise and manual treatments as originally intended by traditional providers as part of a holistic health care approach.

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation

Who can benefit from this therapy?

Women with pelvic pain, urinary incontinence symptoms, bladder/vaginal/rectal prolapse or diastasis recti (split abs). Men with pelvic pain.

What is it?

Pelvic floor rehabilitation is a combination of manual, biofeedback and exercise techniques aimed at regaining normal function of the pelvic floor muscles. We also often integrate chiropractic, other rehabilitation exercises, soft tissue techniques and/or acupuncture with pelvic floor rehabilitation to allow for maximal results.

How does it work?

Just like any other muscle in your body, the pelvic floor can become too tight, tender or not strong enough to do it’s job. By addressing your specific dysfunction (it’s much more than doing Kegel’s for most patients!), you can obtain relief and better manage your symptoms.

Massage Therapy

Who can benefit from this therapy?

Those with stress, pain, muscle tension and other common conditions including anxiety, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia, headaches, insomnia, myofascial pain syndromes and soft tissue strains/injuries.

What is it?

Massage is a general term for pressing, rubbing and manipulating your skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Massage may range from light stroking to deep pressure. There are many different types of massage, including these common types: Swedish massage. This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize you. Deep Tissue massage. This massage technique uses slower, more-forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, commonly to help with muscle damage from injuries. Sports massage. This is similar to Swedish massage, but it’s geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries. Trigger point massage. This massage focuses on areas of tight muscle fibers that can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.

How does it work?

Massage therapy can improve your body’s function by easing inflammation, reducing pain, increasing blood flow and relaxing muscle tension. You might be referred to our massage therapists by our doctor or can seek care directly from our licensed massage therapists independently.
